Office of the Registrar

The registrar’s primary role at Geisinger Commonwealth is to maintain the permanent records and documents that pertain to each matriculated student’s progress through medical school.

The registrar’s office maintains an open-door policy to provide service and meet student needs. Appointments may be required at busy times.

Academic calendars

Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s academic calendar is set by the Calendar Committee of the Curriculum Action Committee. The calendar is planned and approved in an effort to provide predictability and stability in the lives of Geisinger Commonwealth’s students, faculty, staff and administration.

The academic calendars are determined and managed by the registrar’s office and vary based on educational program and year. Geisinger Commonwealth reserves the right to cancel, modify or otherwise change the schedule, and will appropriately notify anyone affected.

Use the following links to view the calendars online. If you have questions or concerns, email the registrar at ejlahart@geisinger.edu
